Hofstra Men’s Basketball Hosts William & Mary On Senior Day Saturday

 The Hofstra men’s basketball team will continue its three-game home stand to close the regular season on Saturday when it hosts William & Mary. 

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 12 p.m. Prior to the game the program will honor its four “seniors” with Zach Cooks, Jalen RayOmar Silverio, and Jarrod Simmons being recognized in a pregame ceremony. 

Tickets are available for purchase at HofstraTickets.com, by calling (516) HOF-TIXX, or by visiting the Hofstra Athletic Ticket Office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex during normal business hours. On game day the ticket office will open one hour prior to tip-off. 

The game will air on FloHoops and WRHU (88.7 FM) will have an audio-only broadcast on the Hofstra Athletics Web Channel. Links to both broadcasts, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men’s basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. 

Hofstra is 19-9 and 11-5 in the league following an 81-55 loss to Elon on Thursday. Sophomore Darlinstone Dubar and Silverio each tallied 10 points in the contest for the Pride. 

William & Mary brings a 5-25 overall mark and a Colonial Athletic Association record of 4-13 into Saturday’s game. The Tribe dropped a 62-28 decision to Northeastern on Thursday. 

Hofstra is 25-15 all-time against William & Mary. The Pride has won three of the last four in the series and six of the last eight meetings. The teams first met in Hofstra’s first season in the CAA in 2001-02 with the Pride capturing a 68-59 win on January 19, 2002. The Tribe captured this season’s earlier meeting, 63-62, down in Williamsburg.
