Bailey Earns Spot on BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

After going a perfect 7-for-7 from the field in St. John’s win over Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon, Kadaja Bailey has earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season.

Bailey is one of just two players in nearly two decades to drain seven shots from the floor without a miss. Patrycja Gulak went a perfect 8-for-8 from the floor against FDU in 2002.

In St. John’s BIG EAST home opener on Sunday, Bailey poured in 23 points against the Pirates, eclipsing the 20-point plateau for the second time this season. The Long Beach, N.Y., native also pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists en route to the Red Storm’s conference victory.

On the year, Bailey is posting 14.5 points per games to sit second on the team in scoring and rank inside the top-15 in the conference. The 6-foot guard is also averaging 5.0 rebounds per contest.

Bailey and the Red Storm will return to action on Saturday afternoon, welcoming La Salle to Carnesecca Arena for a 1 p.m. matchup.
