Yankee Stadium will be rocking on Sunday November 21, as New York City FC will get to play host to Atlanta United in the first round of the MLS Playoffs. The first round is set for 3:00 pm.

New York City FC was able to earn a 14-9-1 record, allowing them an opportunity to host the first round in front of their enthusiastic fans in the Bronx. The Boys in Blue love being able to play at Yankee Stadium, as the team has only lost six times in the 70 games played there.

It will be an exciting match between New York City FC and Atlanta United as both teams have a great attacking formation. For the boys in blue Rony Deila has so many options to chose from when it comes time for his attacking formation. One of the keys for the game will be the fact that NYCFC will look to exploit the flanks and cash in on the spaces that Atlanta creates for them.

One of the players to watch for on the home side will be Taty Castellanos, who had just won the 2021 MLS Golden Boot Award. Castellanos was one of the leaders for the team with his 19 goals and eight assists this season and became the first player in Club history to win the Golden Boot award.

Meanwhile for Atlanta United, Head Coach Gonzalo Pineda has been using multiple formations to gain a 13-12-9 mark. Some of the stars to watch for on the visiting side will be Josef Martinez and Luiz Araujo.
