New York City FC fell to the Montreal Impact by a final of 2-1 in Major League Soccer action on Thursday night.

The Boys in Blue were looking for three consecutive victories, but that hope was dashed by the Impact who are a great quality soccer club.

Montreal was able to get the first quality chance of the match, which was responded quickly by NYCFC. The match saw some great tactical passing along with some stellar opportunities throughout.

New York City FC was eventually rewarded for their fine play around the 29th minute when Keaton Parks recorded the first goal of the match.

It was in the second half though that Montreal shined as Mason Toye was able to find the back of the cage to tie up the action. Montreal eventually tallied the game-winner around the 73rd minute thanks to a goal by Romell Quioto earning a huge three points.

New York City FC, who is currently in fourth place in the Major League Soccer standings will enjoy some time off and get some training in prior to their next match on June 17 when they take on the Columbus Crew in a match that is set for 7:30 p.m.
