Washington Mystics take tough loss to Loss Angeles, 89-82

1495 Sports is proud to bring the following Post Game Press Conference featuring thoughts from Head Coach Mike Thibault along with stars Theresa Plaisance, Leilani Mitchell and Megan Gustafson

The Washington Mystics were edged out by the Los Angeles Sparks by a final of 89-82 in WNBA action on Thursday night basketball action.

Leading all scoring was Leilani Mitchell who had 26 points, that was followed by Tina Charles who had 25 points. The Mystics also saw stellar scoring from Ariel Atkins who had 12 points and Theresa Plaisance who rounded out the team with her 11 points.

One of the biggest reasons why the Mystics fell to the Sparks was the turnover game, as Washington gave up the ball 20 times. The team was able to win five of the last six games, but it had seemed as if the legs were fatigued with the schedule that the team had to keep.

The tough schedule for the Mystics continues as the team will head on the road to take on the Dallas Wings in a game that is set for Saturday, June 26. The tip between the Mystics and Wings is set for 2:00 p.m.
