New York City FC regained their winning ways on Wednesday night, as the club was able to earn a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United.

The boys in blue saw a huge lineup change thanks to Head Coach Ronny Delia, and the team responded with a quick tempo style.

One of the starters Tayvon Gray had one of the clubs early opportunities that was blocked by Brad Guzan of Atlanta. New York City FC saw another great opportunity by Nicolas Acevedo that was also denied.

There was a ton of back and forth action between both clubs as Taty Castellanos had a free-kick went left of the cage. Though there were many great chances by both clubs, neither team was able to find the back of the cage at the half.

In the second half Coach Delia made two subs, as he introduced Maxi Moralez and Anton Tinnerholm into the match. That helped to increase the confidence of the club.

There was some incredible play by both clubs, but ultimately it was Castellanos who was the one that found the back of the cage that led to the 1-0 result for the boys in blue.

New York City FC will look to remain on a winning path, as they take on D.C. United at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, June 27. These two teams will start play at 6:00 p.m. with the action airing on the YES Network.
