The Brooklyn Cyclones (10-23) have seen some tough stretches throughout the month of June. The Team is currently looking to change their fortunes, as they are on the road to take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks (18-16).
Currently the Cyclones will play the Blue Rocks for six games, as the team picked up a victory on Tuesday night by a final of 3-1.
Leading the way for the Brooklyn bats was Francisco Alvarez, Cody Bohanek and Ronny Mauricio.
In their most recent series against Hudson Valley, the team’s offense combined for 25 hits. As the bats went 25-165 with 11 runs. This is the Cyclones first trip to Wilmington, who used to be part of the Advanced-A Carolina League from the 1993, 2020 seasons.
Thus far the Cyclones have done better on the road vs at home. When they are away from Brooklyn the team has a .439 slugging average, while hitting 26 homers and plating 5.5 runs per game.
The Cyclones and the Blue Rocks will be playing the second of six games tonight (Wednesday). The First Pitch between these two teams is set for 7:05 p.m.
