New York City FC started off the Major League Soccer season in fine fashion, as the Boys in Blue were able to record a 5-0 victory over FC Cincinnati at Yankee Stadium.

One of the offensive leaders for NYCFC was Jesus Media who had two goals during the match. Gudomir Thorainsson and Taty Castellanos also were able to find the back of the cage, in what was a great showing for the team.

FC Cincinnati were able to get some quality chances including that from Yuya Kubo, but most were either went wide or denied by the fine play of Sean Johnson.

New York City FC will continue their training and the MLS Regular season with an away game on May 1, as the guys will be taking on the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park. Match is set for 7:30 p.m. For anyone interested in wanting to watch the action can do so by checking out the YES Network.
