There was some action-packed hockey between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Hersey Bears, but at the end of the game, it was the Bears that won by a final tally of 3-1.
The Penguins battled throughout the whole game, but a third-period power-play was the reason for the Bears earning a victory.
Hersey was able to gain the early edge, thanks to a goal by Philippe Maillet found the back of the cage at the 13:21 mark of the First Period.
Jordy Bellerive was able to tally the tying goal, later in the game. Bellerive now is amongst one of the team leaders as he now has six goals for the Penguins. Hersey was able to regain the lead and added onto it thanks to goals by Matt Moulson and Kody Clark.
In the cage for the Penguins Alex D’Orio, was able to record 23 saves in his first start of the season for the team. Zach Fucale turned aside 30 attempts in the win for the Bears.
Up next for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is a rematch with the Hersey Bears in their venue the Giant Center. The action is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
