DePaul speeds by Providence in BIG EAST Tournament, 70-62

The BIG EAST Tournament had three thrilling games, and all featuring action packed and non-stop basketball. In the Tournament held at Madison Square Garden, saw two upsets, the second that saw No. 11 DePaul speeding by No. 6 Providence by a final of 70-62.

Leading the way for DePaul was Charlie Moore and Javon Freeman-Liberty both had 21 points each. For Providence Nate Watson recorded 18 points and Noah Horchler had 17 points.

As a team DePaul was able to outrebound Providence 46-35, while DePaul was able to pick up three blocks during the game. This was the 47th all-time meeting between these two programs.

Up next for the No. 11 DePaul Men’s Basketball team will be another tough test as the team will take on the No 2 University of Connecticut in the Quarterfinal Round of the BIG EAST Tournament on March 11. The Tip-Off between these two teams is set for 9:00 p.m.
