The Baltimore Orioles fell to the Minnesota Twins by a score of 1-0 in Spring Training action on Tuesday. Baltimore had some great hitting but just could not cash in as the Twins pitching staff did a stellar job of keeping the offense off the board.
Making his spring debut for the O’s was Dean Kremer, who was able to toss three scoreless innings. Bruce Zimmermann also impressed on the mound by allowing a baserunner in three no-hit innings.
Flashing the leather in the field was Ryan Mountcastle, who had some great defensive plays in left field.
Cedric Mullins was able to rip a double as one of the offensive highlights for the team, also recording hits was Trey Mancini, and Austin Hays.
1495 Sports is proud to bring the following video as Orioles Manager Brandon Hyde along with stars Dean Kremer and Pat Valaika shared these thoughts:
Keegan Akin will be making his first Grapefruit League start when the Orioles return to Ed Smith Stadium on Wednesday to take on the Toronto Blue Jays. Akin will be taking on Ross Stripling in a game that is set for 1:05 p.m.
