In the battle of Connecticut, it was the Bridgeport Sound Tigers falling to the Hartford Wolf Pack by a final of 5-2 in AHL action on Sunday.
Bridgeport found the back of the cage first, thanks to a goal at the 5:50 mark in the first period thanks to a sweet shot by Sam Bolduc, who recorded his first goal.
The first continued for the Sound Tigers, as Cole Coskey recorded his first goal, which was able to give his team a 2-0 lead. The Wolf Pack cut into the lead to make the game 2-1 at the end of the second period.
It was in the third period, where the Wolf Pack were able to gain their offensive momentum and won the game. Hartford were able to turn on the offensive pressure and found a bounty of goals, including the game-winner from Patrick Newell to skate away with the win.
Up next for the Sound Tigers will return to Webster Bank Arena to play host to the Providence Bruins in a game that is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, the game is set to face-off at 1:00 p.m.
