The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will put its three-game win streak on the line this week when it heads south to face UNCW.
The games will take place on Saturday and Sunday with both contests tipping off at 1 p.m. from Trask Coliseum in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Hofstra is now 9-6 overall and 5-3 in Colonial Athletic Association action following the weekend sweep of Towson that extended the win streak to three games. Senior Jalen Ray leads the team with 18 points per game, with senior Tareq Coburn (15.5) and junior Isaac Kante (12.5) following closely behind in the scoring column. Kante averages a double-double as he pulls down 10.5 caroms per outing. Sophomore Caleb Burgess is tops on the team with 5.2 assists per game and also averages 7.8 points per game.
UNCW is 7-6 overall and 1-3 in league play after splitting its weekend series with Delaware. The Seahawks won Saturday’s game before dropping the Sunday contest. Five players average in double figures for UNCW with Jaylen Sims leading the way with 17.8 points per game. Joe Pridgen is fourth on the team in scoring with 11 points per game and leads the team with 8.8 rebounds per contest. Mike Okauru is third with 13 points per game and averages a team-best 3.7 assists per game.
Hofstra and UNCW have met 44 times in the series history with each team winning 22 times. The series began when Hofstra joined the CAA in 2001-02. The Pride has won two straight in the series and three of the last four.
