Hofstra Men’s Basketball Continues Road Swing At Delaware

The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will continue Colonial Athletic Association play this week with a pair of games at Delaware.

The Pride will take on the Blue Hens on Friday and Sunday with both games starting at 1 p.m.

The games will air on FloHoops and WRHU (88.7 FM) will provide an audio-only broadcast available on Pride Productions and WRHU.org. All links can be found at the top of this release and on the Hofstra men’s basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com. For the audio only broadcast, via WRHU, Friday’s game will air on the HAWC (accessible via WRHU.org) and Sunday’s game will be available on WRHU (88.7 FM) – available on the Pride Productions portal and on WRHU.org.

Hofstra is 6-5 this season and 2-2 in CAA play following its series against Northeastern last week. A trio of players average in double figures for the Pride as Jalen Ray leads the team with 17.3 points per game and is followed by Tareq Coburn (16.4) and Isaac Kante (13.5). Kante is tops on the team with 11.5 rebounds per game, while Caleb Burgess is averaging 7.5 points and a team-best 5.1 assists per outing.

Delaware is 3-5 overall and 1-2 in conference action. Ryan Allen leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game. He is joined in double figures by Kevin Anderson (12.0) and Dylan Painter (11.3). Painter also pulls down 9.4 rebounds per contest. Allen is averaging 2.5 assists per game to lead the Blue Hens.

Hofstra is 61-33 all-time against Delaware. The 94 all-time meetings rank as the Pride’s most-played opponent all-time. The Pride and Delaware first met in the 1954-55 season. Hofstra has won seven of the last eight meetings and has won 12 of the last 14 meetings dating back to the 2014-15 season.
