Drew O’Connor is going to be one of the players to watch for as the 2021 Hockey season is quickly approaches. The six-foot-three rookie who was signed to an entry-level deal by Pittsburgh at the end of his sophomore season at Dartmouth College in 2019.
It was projected that O’Connor was to join the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton team, but things got delayed due to the pandemic. Now Drew has been making a great impression during the training camp.
The development that O’Connor has been able to make has been really impressive. As he has been able to score 13 goals in his final season of junior hockey as a 20-year-old. In his freshman season at Dartmouth he was able to record 17 goals and one year later he was able to notch 21 goals.
Expect for O’Connor to impress either for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton team and or the big club during the 2021 season, as the Penguins are really impressed by the potential for this young star.
It will be exciting to see what moves will make and what players will head to Pittsburgh and what players will be in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
