The Fordham University Men’s Basketball team (1-2, 1-2 A-10 Conference) won a 55-54 thriller over the University of Dayton (5-3, 1-2 A-10 Conference) in Tuesday night College Hoops action in the Bronx.
Fordham was able to break a 15 year losing streak thanks to a three-pointer by Chris Austin with about 18 seconds left. Austin was able to lead all scoring with 20 points.
The Rams also saw scoring from Kyle Rose who had 11 points, Josh Navarro who notched nine points and Joel Soriano who had six points.
Fordham has been getting their basketball legs from under them in the past few games, and found the right rhythm in what was a thriller in Rose Hill Gym.
Dayton had themselves an outstanding outing as they were led by Jalen Crutcher who had 14 points and Mustapha Amzil who contributed with 10 points.
Fordham will now go on the road to take on Duquesne University in Pittsburgh on Saturday for a game that is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
