VIDEO: New York City FC Head Coach Ronny Deila and star James Sands shares these thoughts after the clubs tough 2-1 loss to the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer action on 10/11 at Yankee Stadium.

A Three Game Winning streak for New York City FC was snapped on Sunday in the Club’s 2-1 loss to the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer action at Yankee Stadium. New York did not have a ton of time to recover from their last match and lost their aggressive brand of play, which ultimately led to them falling to their rivals from New England.

The Revolution were able to tally the first goal thanks to a beauty of an opportunity by Teal Bunbury, who slotted a goal past the onrushing Sean Johnson,

New York City FC was able to regain their form as the play went along, they were able to maintain the possessions of the ball for the majority of the Fist Half of play. The New England defense though was up to the task though denying many of the chances that were created.

The Boys in Blue were rewarded for their tremendous play, thanks to a goal from Taty Castellanos, who found some room on the 53′ but that opportunity was denied by Revs keeper Brandon Bye.

Head Coach Ronny Delia tried to bring in some fresh legs at this point in the match, calling upon Gary Mackay-Steven and Ronald Matarrita into the match. Even though NYCFC tried a wide range of strategies it was the Revs that wound up with the second goal of the match at the 80′ thanks to Lee Nguyen cashed in on a penalty kick opportunity.

Alex Callens was able to make the match interesting with a header from the corner in the last minute of stoppage-time, but the last minute chances by NYCFC were denied by New England and the visiting side were able to walk away with the points.

New York City FC still remains in the Fifth Spot in the Major League Soccer standings, and will look to regain their winning ways in a match against the Orlando City SC on Wednesday Night. New York City FC and Orlando will play down in Florida at Exploria Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
