New York City FC Earn 1-0 Victory over Columbus Crew

New York City FC were able to tally a 1-0 thriller over the Columbus Crew in Major League Soccer action on Monday Night. For New York City FC this was a huge victory as the Crew were coming in as the current leaders in the Eastern Conference, the team was also looking to rebound and have a better performance after their most recent loss to the Red Bulls as well.

The Boys in Blue once again paced the offensive aggressive style of play as within the first 10′ Alex Ring had a wonderful opportunity on goal that soared just high of the cage.  It was a match filled with a ton of momentum swings for both sides, as there were many impressive scoring opportunities for both New York City FC and the Columbus Crew.

In the Second Half of Play NYCFC was able to continue their aggressive offensive style, with a tremendous opportunity that was taken by Mitriță. Anton Tinnerholm really impressed for the Boys in Blue had himself a great opportunity that missed as well.

Finally New York was rewarded with a goal by Ring, who connected on a close range opportunity to help lead his team to a clutch victory.

New York City FC looks to continue their positive momentum and play with a match on Saturday against the Chicago Fire, with the action set for 7:30 p.m.
