Orioles Fall Short Against Blue Jays 8-7

There are going to be a ton of really close games during this 2020 Major League Baseball season, and the Baltimore Orioles (12-11) suffered one of them in the 8-7 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays (9-11) in Major League Baseball action on Tuesday.

Baltimore was able to battle back from a four run deficit thanks mainly in part to the efforts from Anthony Santander, who was able to rip two monster homers in the game. There was a ton of naibiting during the course of this game as the teams needed extra and fans had the chance to see the newly implemented runner on Second Base rule that has been put into place for this season.

Santander continues to put up some impressive numbers and climbs the ranks when it comes time for being one of the best bats in the American League. With his performance on Tuesday night Anthony now sits in second place in the American League’s home run leaderboards only Mike Trout has more. In addition there was also a double that was laced by Santander during the course of the game, the extra-base knock allows for the Orioles Outfielder to sit as the Leader in extra-base hits.

The Orioles have several bats in the American League Leaderboards and continuing to build on some impressive numbers. Hanser Alberto was able to record a game-tying  pinch-hit single during the course of the game, which helps him maintain his lead on the AL hits leaderboard with Seattle’s Kyle Lewis.

Even though there was a ton of positive news during the course of the game, Baltimore was not able to find the runs that they needed to get them the victory on Tuesday night. As of late the Birds have done a wonderful job of flushing bad games out of their system and rebounding after losses.

They hope to earn a win in the finale against the Blue Jays tonight (Wednesday) as they send Tommy Milone (1-2, 4.00) to the hill to take on Tanner Roark (1-1, 6.00 ERA). The action between the Orioles and the Blue Jays is set for 1:05 p.m. and the action is set to air on the MASN Network.
