The 2020 Isobel Cup Finalists, the Minnesota Whitecaps and Boston Pride, have come together with GoodWood Hockey and MeiGray Auctions to support important causes in their communities.
Beginning today, 50 Isobel Cup Final caps – autographed by stars from each team and authenticated by MeiGray – are available via auction at www.meigrayauctions.com
All proceeds from hats signed by Pride players will go towards providing masks for the Boston Public Schools. All proceeds from Whitecaps hats will be donated to the We Love Lake Street Recovery Fund. The fund is dedicated to aiding and rebuilding small and local businesses in the Lake Street community in Minneapolis damaged in the aftermath of the unjust murder of George Floyd.
Of the 50 caps available for auction, five caps have each been signed by one member of the Pride and Whitecaps. Fans have the opportunity to bid on these 2020 Isobel Cup collector’s items signed by Jillian Dempsey, Lexie Laing, Lovisa Selander, McKenna Brand, and Kaleigh Fratkin of the Pride, and by Allie Thunstrom, Amanda Leveille, Jonna Curtis, Meaghan Pezon, and Amanda Boulier of the Whitecaps.
The caps were designed and produced by GoodWood Hockey to go to the Isobel Cup Champions. The Cup Final, scheduled for March 13, was cancelled for safety reasons in the ongoing global health crisis.
Bidding starts at just $20 for each cap. The auction closes on Thursday, Aug. 20.
The NWHL salutes the Pride and Whitecaps on this wonderful collaboration, thanks GoodWood Hockey and MeiGray for the generous contributions of their talent and resources, and is deeply appreciative of the league’s loyal fans for joining these two great teams in their efforts to assist their communities during this challenging time.
