Sky Blue FC Announces Schedule for 2020 NWSL Season

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) today announced Sky Blue FC’s full 24-game, 2020 regular season schedule. Sky Blue FC will play 12 home matches and 12 away matches during the seven-month regular season. All home games will be played at Sky Blue’s new home, Red Bull Arena, in Harrison, NJ.

Sky Blue FC opens up their season on the road against Orlando Pride on Sunday, April 19 before returning home to kick off their inaugural season at Red Bull Arena on Sunday, April 26 at 5 p.m. ET as they host Megan Rapinoe and Reign FC.

Sky Blue FC will play at least one home game a month between April and October, including three home games in the month of May. The NWSL schedule format includes a 7-day break from July 20 through July 26 during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

The home finale for Sky Blue FC will be on Sunday, October 11 at Red Bull Arena when they host Christen Press and Utah Royals FC at 5 pm E.T. Sky Blue will end the regular season on the road as they travel to Chicago on Saturday, October 17 to face the Red Stars.

The Sky Blue roster features USWNT captain Carli Lloyd, USWNT member Mallory Pugh, Canadian goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan, and several New Jersey natives including Paige Monaghan and Rutgers alums Erica Skroski and Madison Tiernan.

The NWSL post-season will start later this year with two semifinal games on Sunday, November 8. The NWSL Championship will be played on Saturday, November 14 at a location to be determined.
