Hofstra is 17-7 overall and 8-3 in league play following an 83-60 win over William & Mary last Saturday. The Pride got 22 points and seven assists from senior Desure Buie, while junior Tareq Coburn added 19 points (five three-pointers) and 13 points and 11 rebounds from sophomore Isaac Kante. Buie owns team-highs of 18.5 points per game as well as 5.6 assists per contest and 2.2 steals per outing. Kante leads the team with 7.4 rebounds per game and ranks fifth with 10.8 points per outing.

Northeastern is 11-12 overall and 5-6 in CAA play. The Huskies dropped a 74-69 decision at Elon on Saturday despite 19 points from Jordan Roland. Three players average in double figures for the Huskies led by Roland’s 23 points per game. Bolden Brace is third in scoring at 10.3 ppg and leads the team with 6.1 rebounds per game.

Saturday’s game will be the 48th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Northeastern in a series that the Pride leads, 24-23. The teams first met during the 1949-50 campaign, but the second meeting didn’t occur until the 1994-95 season. Hofstra won this season’s earlier meeting, 74-72, in Boston back on January 9 as senior Eli Pemberton hit the game-winning layup with 0.5 seconds left.
