The Hofstra men’s basketball team will continue its two-game road trip to open Colonial Athletic Association play when it faces Towson on Monday. Hofstra heads into the game riding a four-game win streak.

Hofstra improved to 10-4 and 1-0 in CAA action with an 82-76 win over James Madison on Saturday. The Pride rallied from a 13-point second half deficit as senior Eli Pemberton poured in a game-high 25 points, while senior Desure Buie scored all 15 of his points in the second stanza to help fuel the comeback.
Pemberton is now up to a team-high 17.6 points per game, while also averaging 6.1 rebounds per outing. Buie is second on the squad in scoring with 16.5 points and leads the team with 79 assists and 35 steals.
Towson fell to 6-7 and 0-1 in the conference with a 61-45 loss to Northeastern on Saturday. Allen Betrand led the Tigers with 16 points in the contest. Brian Fobbs leads the team with 16 points per game, while Betrand is second on the Tigers in scoring with 12.1 points per game.
Hofstra is 43-26 all-time against Towson and the Pride has won four straight and seven of the last nine in the series. The Hofstra/Towson series, which began with an 86-71 Pride victory during the 1982-83 season, is the Pride’s third-most common series in program history. The 69 all-time meetings ranks only behind Delaware (89) and Drexel (89).
