Hofstra Men’s Basketball: Pemberton Named CAA Player Of The Week

Hofstra senior Eli Pemberton was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.

Pemberton had another outstanding week for Hofstra as he led Hofstra with 23 points per game as the Pride picked up wins over local rivals Princeton and Manhattan to extend their win streak to three games and move to 9-4 on the season.

Pemberton got his week started with a stellar 27-point outing at Princeton as he shot 9-13 from the field and added five rebounds, three steals, and two assists in the commanding victory over the Tigers.

He followed that up with another solid game against Manhattan as he posted 19 points and five rebounds in the win over the Jaspers.

For the week he averaged 23 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. he shot 15-29 (52%) from the field and 12-13 (93%) from the free throw line.

Hofstra heads into Colonial Athletic Association play with a 9-4 overall record.
