Hofstra MBB Heads To CAA Championship As Top Seed

The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will head to the Colonial Athletic Association Championship this week as the top seed in the conference tournament.

Hofstra, which went 25-6 overall and 15-3 in the CAA during the regular season, will open play in the quarterfinals on Sunday at 12 p.m. against the winner of the Towson/James Madison contest.

There will be CAA.tv live video, Pride Productions live audio and live statistics available for the game. Links to all three can be found on this page and on the men’s basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The audio only Pride Productions broadcast is courtesy of WRHU (88.7 FM).

CBS Sports Network will televise the semifinals and the championship game. Should Hofstra advance, the Pride will play at 6 p.m. on Monday in the semifinals against either William & Mary or Delaware and the championship game will be Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Hofstra, which captured its first outright regular season conference title since the 2000-01 season in the America East Conference, is the top seed for the first time since the 2015-16 season when it advanced to the title game against UNCW. In each of its last three appearances in conference tournaments as the top seed, Hofstra has advanced to the title game each time and won the tournament twice (2000 and 2001 in America East).

The Pride split with James Madison with each winning on the opponent’s home court. Hofstra swept Towson this year.

All games during the CAA Championship will be played at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina.
