The full 2018-2019 Fordham University men’s basketball schedule was released today. It features four televised Atlantic 10 contests and a visit from the Rutgers University from the Big Ten to the historic Rose Hill Gym in a game that will also be nationally televised.

Fordham will play 19 of its 31 contests in the friendly confines of the Rose Hill Gym in 2018-2019 and will make four appearances on national television during the Atlantic 10 season, two on the CBS Sports Network and two on Stadium.

The Rams open the 2018-2019 season, Fordham’s 116th varsity season, by hosting the CCNY Beavers in the Rose Hill Gym on Tuesday, November 6, as part of the Johnny Bach Classic. It will be the 48th meeting between the Rams and CCNY, the first since February 2, 1977.

Fordham travels to Houston, Texas, to take on the Houston Baptist University Huskies   on Saturday, November 10, in the first ever meeting between the two schools on the hardwood and just the second for the Rams against a school from the Southland Conference.

The Rams then return home to continue the 2018 Johnny Bach Classic which features Columbia, Florida International and Youngstown State. Fordham will face FIU on Friday, November 16; Columbia on Saturday, November 17; and Youngstown State on Sunday, November 18. It will be the sixth meeting between the Rams and the Panthers, the 79th between the Rams and the Lions and the first between the Rams and the Penguins.

After a week off, Fordham returns to action by hosting Alabama A&M on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, November 25, in the first match up between the Rams and the Bulldogs.

Fordham will then travel across the Bronx to take on Manhattan College in the annual Battle of the Bronx on Saturday, December 1. It will be the 110th meeting between the Rams and the Jaspers, the most for any Fordham opponent.

The Rams take a longer road trip the following Tuesday, December 4, as they travel to Orono, Maine, to face the University of Maine Black Bears. Fordham took last year’s matchup in overtime and lead the all-time series, 2-1.

Fordham returns to the Bronx for its final five nonconference games, starting with a visit from Rutgers University on Saturday, December 8. It will be the Scarlet Knights’ first visit to the Rose Hill Gym since 1976.

The Rams then host NJIT on Tuesday, December 11; Howard University on Sunday, December 16; James Madison University on Thursday, December 20; and close out the nonconference slate on Sunday, December 30, with Long Island University.
