Staten Island Yankees Wrap-Up July 23

The Staten Island Yankees hold a  19-16 record heading into July 23, winning three games before Mahoning Valley and West Virginia before dropping two of three from Vermont during the week fo July 17. The Baby Bombers had the game on Saturday July 21 postponed due to rain before dropping a 10-1 decision on July 22nd. The second game was once against postponed due to the weather.

Staten Island is currently on the road to take on Batavia and Tri-City in what will be scheduled for three games against the two New York-Penn League Rivals. The Baby Bombers will return to Richmond County Bank Ballpark on July 30, when they host the Aberdeen IronBirds.

In the game against Tri-City on July 22, Junior Soto had a single, double, a run and two outfield assists. Ricardo Ferreira, Alex Junior and Eduardo Torrealba all had RBIs for the Yankees in the game that was held on July 20.

Juan De Paula will be on the mound for the Staten Island Yankees and TBA for Batavia, this is the first meeting this season between the two teams.
