The Brooklyn Cyclones hold a 20-16 record as they are on the road for three games against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers. Brooklyn will not be at MCU Park again until July 30, when they host the Tri-City Valley Cats.
The Cyclones were able to win two games against Aberdeen during the week of July 11, before winning two games against Williamsport and Tri-City. The final game the Cyclones had before today’s break was against the Lowell Spinners.
In the first game on July 17, Jose Medina smashed two homers and Christian James did well on the mound to lead Brooklyn to a 11-5 victory.

- Jose Medina went 2-4 with a pair of home runs, including a three-run opposite field blast and a 404-foot solo shot to left-center field in the eighth inning.
- Christian James struck out five over six innings of three-hit ball, surrendering a three-run home run to Alex McKenna to tie the game in the bottom of the first 3-3.
- Anthony Dirocie pushed Brooklyn’s lead to 3-0 in the first with a two-run single against Tri-City reliever Juan Pablo Lopez.
