Binghamton Rumble Ponies Wrap-Up July 23

The Binghamton Rumble Poinies hold a 47-52 record heading into a three game road series against the Bowie Baysox on July 23. Binghamton dropped some tough series against Akron and Portland before splitting the longstanding rivalry they have against the Trenton Thunder during the week of July 19-22.

In the 3-2 victory on July 19, On the mound for the Rumble Ponies David Roseboom, Daniel Zamora and Ryder Ryan combined to allow for four hits in the victory, as on the offensive side of things they saw contributions from Tomas Nido, Tim Tebow, Jhoan Urena and J.J. Franco to only name a few.

Trenton was able to record eight runs in the first three innings, which helped to propel them to a 10-1 victory on July 20. One of the highlights on the offensive side for Binghamton was a two-run homer by Urena in the ninth inning, which was the seventh of the 2018 campaign.

Justin Dunn was able to earn his second victory against Trenton to help lead the Rumble Ponies on the mound, in the 4-2 victory on July 21. Nido, Kevin Taylor and Andrew Ely were some of the offensive leaders for Binghamton. Trenton captured the finale by a score of 9-2 on July 22, Levi Michael recorded a double for one of the offensive highlights for the Rumble Ponies.

On the mound for the Rumble Ponies in the first game against the Bay Sox will be RHP Scott Copeland against LHP Luis Ysla with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
