Jets and M&T Bank Award The Pharmacy NYC with $100,000 Sponsorship as Winner of Small Business Showcase

The New York Jets and M&T Bank named The Farmacy NYC the winner of the first annual Small Business Showcase. As the winner, The Farmacy NYC will receive a $100,000 sponsorship with the New York Jets for the 2018 football season.

“We are very excited to announce The Farmacy NYC as the winner of the first ever Jets and M&T Small Business Showcase,” said New York Jets President Neil Glat. “Through this program, we can continue to give back to our community and support small businesses in our area. We welcome The Farmacy NYC into the Jets family, and we look forward to working with them throughout the 2018 season.”

The 2018 sponsorship includes stadium signage for all Jets home games, commercial units in Jets gameday radio broadcasts on 98.7 ESPN, an opportunity to have an on-site presence at Jets Training Camp presented by M&T Bank, an opportunity to have an on-site presence at a Jets home game, as well as a luxury suite at a home game.

“This is unbelievable,” said Harold DeLucia, New York City Public School teacher and founder of The Farmacy NYC. “It is life changing to be able to work with organizations like the New York Jets and M&T Bank to take The Farmacy to the next level and offer tens of thousands of more New Yorkers farm-fresh produce by the click of a mouse.”

The Farmacy NYC offers fresh farm produce from local family-owned and operated farms to New Yorkers seven days a week, through both their Hell’s Kitchen retail store as well as their ‘Harvest to Home’ online same-day delivery. Additionally, the company donates all unsold produce to local food pantries and soup kitchens in Hell’s Kitchen and Midtown, while also partnering with the NYC Department of Education to put on ‘Farm to Fork’ school lessons and provide free field trips.

Following the application period, five small business finalists were invited to attend Pitch Night at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center on July 12th, where they presented to a panel of Jets and M&T Bank executives for final consideration. In addition to the winner, Bertone Piccini LLP, Salty’s Enterprises LLC, Step Right Up Studio, and Student Coaching Services presented to the panel.

“The Small Business Showcase was created to show appreciation and recognize the importance of small businesses in our local communities. We congratulate The Farmacy NYC for winning this sponsorship and hope that all the participating area businesses benefitted from this experience,” said Eric Feldstein, Senior Vice President of Business Banking at M&T Bank.

Eligible small businesses submitted an application for consideration, and were judged on depth of community involvement, worthiness of business and brand, business and sponsorship category “fit” to partner with the New York Jets and M&T Bank.
