Staten Island Yankees Wrap-Up June 25

The Staten Island Yankees are still looking for positive momentum as the young New York-Penn League Season has seen them record a 2-5 record.

They debuted as the Staten Island Pizza Rats on June 23, with a 4-2 victory over the Aberdeen IronBirds at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. The Baby Bombers saw clutch hits from Canaan Smith and Andres Chaparro in the game.

Frederick Cuevas has had three hits overall and an RBI for the Baby Bombers, Ryan Lidge has five hits and an RBI.

Staten Island started a there game series versus the Tri-City ValleyCats on Sunday, dropping the first game by a score of 2-5. Leading the way in that game was Eric Wagaman who recorded a homer, and Kyle Gray had a nice day at the dish with an RBI single.

Game Two between Staten Island and Tri-City continues tonight starting at 7:00 p.m. The Yankees will start Juan De Pala and Tri-City will counter with Chad Donato.
