It was a frustrating night for the New York Cosmos on 6/7, the first half firmly belonged to the boys in green up until the 65 minute.

In the 65 minute, all of the effort and work the team put into the match all went away via a series of Red Cards, penalties and eventually goals by FC Edmonton.

By the end of the match it was the visiting side that was able to take a 4-2 victory away from MCU Park, while also snapping a seven-game unbeaten run by the New York Cosmos.

New York had looked so dominant in the First Half of play, creating and trying to cash in on many great opportunities. It was during stoppage time that New York was able to score the first goal, as a cross from Ryan Richter found the head of Irvin Herrera.

Edmonton had tied things up in the 69 minute, as Sainey Nyassi opened things up for the visiting side. Minutes later, Tomi Ameobi gave the visiting team the lead. Later on in the match goals by Jake Keegan and Ameob helped to secure the victory.

New York will need to respond in a positive matter and will need for players to step-up, as not only many of the roster get the call to play for their respective National Soccer Clubs on Saturday, but there are also players who will serve a suspension due to the Red Cards issued in this match. The Cosmos will play North Carolina FC at MCU Park in a match slated for 4:00 p.m.
