After what was a grueling road trip for New York City FC, the club returned home to the friendly confines of Yankee Stadium on 5/31 to take on the New England Revolution.

Both clubs battled and wound up with a point, as the end result was a 2-2 draw. In Patrick Vieira’s 50th game in charge, it had almost seemed as if he was able to find a solution to the club’s finishing ways in the Second Half of the Match.

Vieira made the call to sub Miguel Camargo, who put in a header at the ’64 mark to give New York the lead at the time. New England was able to keep finding responses and remained stubborn throughout to earn the draw. Earning the first goal of the match for NYCFC was Jack Harrison at the ’17 mark.

Maxi Morales earned the Man of the Match award for the club for his excellent play during the match. Morales was a sparkplug for the team, and earned the assist on the goal that was scored by Camargo.

Notes:

NYCFC are back at Yankee Stadium on Saturday as they host Philadelphia (1pm ET). NYCFC won 2-0 in Philadelphia back in April and will look to repeat the success on home soil.
