It was a total team effort that led the Fordham University Men’s Basketball team (6-7) to a 83-60 victory over CCSU (2-9) in NCAA Division 1 action at Rose Hill Gym.
On the the 125th anniversary of the first basketball game ever played, the fans in attendance were able to see the perfect blend of offense and defense from the team to end off the non-conference portion of the schedule with a victory.
Leading the way on the offense for the Rams was Javontae Hawkins who had 16 points. Antwoine Anderson recorded 15 points, Christian Sengfelder and Joseph Chartouny rounds out the scorers with 14 points each.
Fordham now leads the all-time series with Central Connecticut, 2-1, and the Rams were able to outrebound CCSU, 28-27.
The Rams return to action on Friday, December 30 as they open Atlantic 10 play by hosting the Duquesne University Dukes in the Rose Hill Gym at 7:00 p.m.
