Cyclones Drop 17 Inning Heartbreaker to ValleyCats

With the Strawberry Moon watching over the Brooklyn Cyclones dropped a 17 Inning 10-Heartbreaker to the Tri-City ValleyCats by a final score of 10-9 in Minor League Baseball action on 6/20/16 at MCU Park.

Leading the way on the offensive side for Brooklyn was Nick Sergakis, who had five hits (three for doubles) and one run batted in.  Enmanuel Zabala, recorded a hit and two RBIs in the game fo rthe Cyclones.

This was the second time in four days the Brooklyn Cyclones went into extra innings, as the team also had a late night party for Opening Night on June 17.

The game lasted a whopping 6:05 minutes and featured, 585 pitches thrown. This marathon will be recorded as the third longest game in franchise history, and the second game to go at least 17 innings in four days.

These two teams will meet again tonight 6/21/16, to complete the three-game series. The First Pitch is set for 7:oo p.m. The Cyclones will be on the road for three games, before returning to MCU Park to host the Hudson Valley Renegades on 6/25 for a game that is set to start at 6:00 p.m.
