In what was a thriller at MCU Park, the Brooklyn Cyclones fell to the Staten Island Yankees by a score of 3-2 in a 20 Inning Game held on 6/17/16.
It was a perfect day for baseball as both teams showed why they will both be ones to watch during this 2016 New York-Penn League Season.
Leading the way on the offensive side for the Cyclones was Enmanuel Zabala (HR), Brandon Brosher (Double), and Darryl Knight (triple).
As for the Staten Island Yankees Dalton Blaser had an impressive showing with his four hits, Mandy Alvarez had three hits including a Double, and Ricardo Ferreira had a sacrifice fly that eventually won the game for the Baby Bombers.
The teams combined for 41 strikeouts, going 2-for-30 with RISP, while tossing 553 pitches.
Game Two between the Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees will take place on Saturday, June 18 at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, with the first pitch set for 7:00 p.m.
