Rivarly On Ice Provides Thrilling College Hockey action at Madison Square Garden

The Rivarly on Ice Event provided thrilling College Hockey action at Madison Square Garden on 1/9/16 as Harvard, Quinnipiac, Army and Navy all provided some great action.

In the first game against No. 1/2 Quinnipiac (19-1-3, 10-0-2) def No. 4/5 Harvard (8-3-3) 5-4 in an overtime nailbiter.

Getting the OT goal was Derek Smith, who got the assist by Scott Davidson. Also netting goals for the Bobcats were Alex Miner-Barron, KJ Tiefenwerth, Sam Anas,  and Travis St. Denis.

Harvard made a thrilling comeback in the later part of the game, as they saw goals by Alexander Kerfoot, Tyler Moy, Ryan Donato and Colin Blackwell.

In the end it was Smith that was able to get the goal in the extra frame to send the Bobcats fans home happy.

In the Second Game Navy Defeated Army by a score of 6-4.  Leading the offense was Gil GivensJohn LinengerMatt Harrigan (2), Cole Maetzold, and Matthew Caine.

For Navy Forward Jack O’Hear recorded his 100th point when he recorded the assist to Harrigan’s goal in the Second Period.
