Hofstra University MBB junior guard Brian Bernardi will travel with the Global Sports Academy on a Goodwill Tour of Belgium, England and Holland beginning later this week.
The trip lasts from August 6-14 and the GSA Goodwill Select Team will play a total of five games throughout the three countries.
Bernardi is coming off a stellar junior campaign as the Staten Island, New York native was third on the team in scoring with 11.6 points per outing, while knocking down a team-high 95 three-pointers and averaging 3.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest as well. The 95 three-pointers ranks as the second-most in a single season in program history. He played in and started all 34 games in 2014-15, averaging 34.2 minutes per game.
The 10-member team includes student-athletes from Hofstra, West Chester, SMU, Villanova, Eastern Washington, Wake Forest, Lehigh and St. Bonaventure.
The team will be coached by Jay Duncan, the director of basketball operations at SMU.
