For the New York Lizards Six was the theme of the night as the team improved to a 6-0 record in part to a six-point effort by Rob Pannell in Major League Lacrosse action on Saturday.
New York who just edged out longtime rival the Chesapeake Bayhawks by a final of 15-14 to remain at the top of the Major League Lacrosse standings.
On the offensive side of the field Matt Gibson, Mike Stone, Tommy Palasek and JoJo Marasco all impressed.

Recording his first goal of the season for New York was defender Chris Piccirilli. The defensive unit stood strong, including holding Chesapeake to 12 shots on goal in the first 30 minutes of play.
New York earned the win in front of several players from the franchise’s inaugural season in 2001. In celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Lizards, several of the inaugural team members were honored in a special ceremony during the first quarter. The current Lizards wore throwback jerseys that will be autographed and auctioned off to benefit Lizards legend Tim Goettalmann’s Monster’s Kids Foundation.

The New York Lizards will now travel to Charlotte to take on the Hounds on May 30, before returning to Shuart Stadium on June 5 to host the Florida Launch.
