New York City FC Returns Home to host Sporting Kansas City on Saturday

New York City FC (1-0-2)  has already captured the imagination of soccer fans World Wide with their successful debut at Yankee Stadium on March 15.

The club was able to earn a 2-0 victory over the New England Revolution on that day in front of a packed 43,507.

Currently in First Place in the Eastern Conference and plenty of room to grow things are looking good for the club.

NYCFC is coming off a tough road draw against the Colorado Rapids and will now return home on Saturday, March 28 to host Sporting Kansas City (0-1-2).

Thus far the attack has been led by David Villa who found the back of the cage during the team’s historic home opener on March 15. Patrick Mullins and Mix Diskerud both have tallied goals for the offense.

Keeper Josh Saunders has done an outstanding job thus far, making 10 saves on 12 shots faced in his two shutouts.

Fans may expect to see some new faces on the pitch against Sporting Kansas City as the club will be without Sebastian Velasquez and Josh Williams who are both injured.
