The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team (16-10, 7-6 CAA) were hoping to have an impressive performance in front of the 2,352 in attendance at the Mack Sports Complex.

Instead the end result left Head Coach Joe Mihalich and his team upset as they lost 79-68 to a very tough Northeastern team (17-9 9-4 CAA).

Leading the way for Hofstra was Juan’ya Green had his seventh double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 assists

The Pride were able to find a bit of spark from both Malik Nichols and Rokas Gustys. For Nichols the junior finished the night with 12 points, as for Gustys he finished season-high 13 points and a team-high five rebounds as well as some blocks that were able to get the fans rocking.

There has been an unfortunate trend for Hofstra as the Men’s Basketball team now has a 7-5 mark at home, now the road mark is slightly better when the team is in hostile territory. With Five Games left in Conference play the Pride need to figure out a formula that will work to ensure them a good position for playing basketball beyond the regular season schedule.
