Fordham University freshman guard Eric Paschall was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for games played Jan. 12 – Jan. 18, it was announced today. It is the second rookie of the week award for Paschall and the fourth for a Ram this year.
In a 60-49 loss at La Salle on Saturday, Paschall scored game-high 25 points and he added two rebounds and a steal while in a loss at Saint Joseph’s on Wednesday night he netted a team-high 16 points, shooting 4-for-5 from behind the arc, and he recorded three steals.
Paschall averaged 20.5 ppg on the week and added five rebounds and four steals.
On the year Paschall is averaging a team-high 16.9 ppg, fifth best in the conference and tops among all A-10 freshmen. He is also averaging 5.7 rpg and has eleven steals and five blocks.
The Rams return to action on Thursday night, January 22, as they celebrate the 90th anniversary of the historic Rose Hill Gym by hosting the George Washington University Colonials in an Atlantic 10 game at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network.
