The Hofstra University Women’s Basketball Team (5-3) used a total team effort in the 71-51 victory over Robert Morris in Non-Conference action at the Mack Sports Complex on Saturday.
Hofstra had two players finish with double-digit scoring as Sophomore Guard Kelly Loftus (Alexandria, VA) led all with 15 points, going 4-for-9 from the three-point arc. Lotus continued the momentum she was able to build in the team’s road victory over Albany, where she had a career-high 25 points on 7-of-9 shooting from downtown.
Freshman Guard Ashunae Durant (Newark, NJ) recorded her second career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, Sophomore Forward Elo Edeferioka (Warri, Nigeria) was one point shy of a double-double recording Nine Points and a team-high 15 rebounds, while also blocking two shots in the game.
Robert Morris could not find their rhythm on offense, but were able to have one player finish in double-digit scoring as Sophomore Anna Stamolamprou finished the game with 18 points and seven boards.
Hofstra will be on the road for three games before returning to the Mack Sports Complex in 2015 when they host the College of Charleston in the Conference Opener on January 4.
