Field Goal lifts Brooklyn over Omaha as Bolts win Second Home Thriller

The Brooklyn Bolts were able to secure their second comeback thriller a 15-13 decision at MCU Park in FXFL action on October 24. This time the visiting team was a very tough Omaha Mammoths, who seemed to have the second game of the young season won-that was up until the Second Half of play.

New York teams have always had a way of grinding it out and finding ways back into the game. It was no different for the Bolts, whose defense stepped up big time to keep the Mammoths at 13 points, allowing the offense ample enough opportunities to scratch and claw their way back into the game.

One of the keys to success for Brooklyn was the play of Tight End AC Leonard, who used his 6-2 frame to make several huge catches for the Bolts. Once again the hosts rotated Quarterbacks as Kolton Browning and Corey Robinson were both able to contribute to the contest.

It was the play of Browning that was able to help lift the Bolts to the drive that eventually won the game as he was able to connect to Leonard that would set the home team up for a 36-yard Field Goal Attempt for Kicker Nick Marsh.

Marsh who had his struggles earlier in the night, found redemption with 12 seconds left and the gusty wind coming in on him, as the former Utah/Rutgers product connected on the game-winner.

The Bolts will now go on their first road game on October 31, as they will travel to Boston for the rematch against the Brawlers. Brooklyn will next be at MCU Park for the home finale on November 7 as they will take on the Florida Blacktips.
