Former Hofstra all-conference forward Anma Onyeuku has signed a professional contract to play with ADBA in Spain.

Onyeuku signed with a franchise (official name: Agrupación Deportiva Baloncesto Avilés) that plays in Spain’s Liga Femenina 2, which is the second division of the women’s league of basketball in the country. Teams in this league are eligible for promotion to Liga Femenina de Baloncesto, which is the highest level of professional women’s basketball in Spain. ADBA is coached by Yolanda Mijares.

A four-year contributor to the Pride, Onyeuku earned All-Colonial Athletic Association Third Team honors as a senior in 2014. The 5’10” forward averaged a team-high 11.4 points and posted 6.4 rebounds-per-game while notching 44 steals with 14 blocks.

Onyeuku scored in double figures in 20 of the 27 games in which she played in her final collegiate season. The Fayetteville, Georgia native posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds at Central Connecticut State and registered a CAA double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds at UNCW. She had back-to-back double-doubles against William & Mary and the College of Charleston, respectively and also reached double digits in both points and rebounds versus Delaware.

Onyeuku finished her Hofstra career with 876 points and 519 rebounds. She graduated with a degree in exercise science.
