The Long Island Ducks (2-5) fought through a tough four-game set against the Lancaster Barnstormers (5-2), fought through one rain delay game and two extra inning games but were unable to find a victory on the road.
Long Island will have representatives at the Atlantic League All-Star Game as Lew Ford, Adam Bailey and Shaun Garceau were each selected to represent the team.
As of July 14 Lew Ford leads the Atlantic League in RBI (60), second in average (.363) and is third in home runs (11). Pitcher John Brownell leads in wins (9) and strikeouts (81), while teammate Garceau is ranked third in wins (8) and fourth in strikeouts (71).
There will now be a four day break for the Atlantic League All-Star break, before the team returns home to Bethpage Ballpark for a six-game homestand starting with a three-game set against the York Revolution on July 18 with the first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
