Lizards get Huge 14-12 Home Victory over Charlotte

The New York Lizards (4-4) were in need of a big performance tonight and got one with a 14-12 final over the Charlotte Hounds (3-5) in Major League Lacrosse action on  Saturday night.

Leading the way for the offense was attacker Rob Pannell who won the Coca-Cola Player of the Game Award with his six goal performance.

Max Seibald had a great shooting night, which included two two-point goals during the course of the game, as for the defensive end of the game there were many fine performances but keeper Drew Adams really shined making some pretty big saves during the course of the game.

Adams was able to reach a milestone against Charlotte reaching the 800 career save plateau, finishing the game with 808.

The Lizards will look to continue the climb in the Major League Lacrosse standings, while staying in the playoff hunt with a home game against the Ohio Machine on June 28 at Shuart Stadium. The Machine currently have a 3-5 record, but a victory is just as important if New York wishes to keep in the hunt.

Last time the Lizards and the Machine took each other on was on May 17, as the guys earned a 11-9 victory, as Tommy Palasek led the offense with four goals.
