Carmelo Anthony recorded a team high 36 points (16-20 FT) and seven rebounds in over 45 minutes in that April 28 loss to Boston. This is Anthony’s 20th career 30-point game in the postseason. Carmelo’s streak of four straight playoff games with 30 or more points, dating back to last season versus Mani was snapped in the April 26 victory at Boston.

Ray of Hope:

Raymond Felton recorded 28 points, 16 in the third quarter, four rebounds and a team high three assists in over 48 minutes in the loss against Boston. The 28 points, 10 FGM and four 3PM are all career postseason highs for Felton. He recorded 15 points and a playoff career high 10 assists in over 35 minutes in the April 26 win at Boston.

Iman the Playoff Man:

Iman Shumpert posted 12 points and 12 rebounds in over 44 minutes in the April 28 loss in Boston for his first career postseason double-double. This was the first time leading the team in rebounds this postseason.

This Date in Knicks History:

1995: The Knicks hold the Cavaliers to .328 shooting to defeat Cleveland 83-81 and take a 2-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference opening round.

1996: New York completes a three-game series sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA Playoffs with an 81-76 victory at MSG. John Stars leads the way with 22 points and Patrick Ewing adds 16 points and 10 boards.

Game Five between the Knicks and the Celtics is set to air on the MSG and TNT networks, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
