Recap and videos of Hofstra MBB vs. Delaware

On Senior Night for the Hofstra University Men’s Basketball team (7-23, 4-13 CAA) as was throughout the course of the year, the guys battled with guts and heart-but came up just short to the number 2 seeded team in the conference in Delaware (17-13, 12-5 CAA) in a 57-56 heartbreaker.

This will not be the last time these two teams will meet, as both Hofstra and Delaware are heading to the Conference Tournament Quarterfinals, which will take place in the Richmond Coliseum on March 9th.

For the Pride, they played like a team on fire in the first half, as you can see the rest of the guys were wanting to get a victory for their three seniors-Stevie Mejia, David Imes and Matt Grogan. Sadly though a very tough Delaware team came back to earn the victory on this night.

Showing some great athleticism and some sweet moves in the lost post position was Sophomore Center/Forward Moussa Kone, who had a career-best 18 points.

The Pride will be on the road from here on out to end the regular season and begin postseason play. The guys will have one last regular season game at Towson on Saturday, March 2 before entering into the CAA Championship on the 9th.

Prior to the game the three seniors in Mejia, Imes and Grogan were honored for their four years of play at Hofstra.
