The Hofstra University men’s basketball team (7-22, 4-12 CAA) had great energy from the beginning to end of a 70-59 victory over Old Dominion (4-24, 2-14) in conference play at the Mack Sports Complex.

Hofstra was able to find their stride and rhythm early on, as four players finished with double-digit scoring to help the Pride snap a four game losing streak. Senior forward David Imes led all scoring with 18 points, as the Brooklyn-native finished with four three-pointers in the game.

Senior guard Stevie Mejia finished with his career points/assists double-double with 10 points and assists.

Hofstra will get a chance to play one last time at the Mack Sports Complex on Wednesday, when they take on Delaware. The Pride will be honoring their three seniors, Matt Grogan, Imes and Mejia as the trio will be playing their final contest at home on that day.
